Originally from Costa Rica, Siegfried Cavallini began studying cello at the age of 7. After joining the Sinfónica Juvenil of Costa Rica, Siegfried studied cello at the University of Costa Rica with Elena Kharina before joining the ranks of the Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional of Costa Rica.

Siegfried also studied at Laval University with Ms. Huguette Morin for a few years and is currently pursuing a doctorate in performance with Ryan Molzan. He was the winner of the 'Solo avec orchestra' competition at Laval University in 1991 and 1993. Since immigrating to Quebec, he has taken part in numerous amateur (as an instructor) and professional ensembles. in Quebec, Costa Rica and Panama. In addition, he has participated in numerous musical tours in Europe and Latin America.

Cello teacher for many years, he teaches cello in Costa Rica, Quebec and at the MOA Centro para las Artes (David, Panamá).
